Books & More

Search the Catalog:

Searching our catalog is a clear and easy way to find books, eBooks, audiobooks, DVDs, music CDs, and more. Search by title, author, keyword, or subject. Search our library, any other library in our consortium, or our entire consortium. You can also place holds on items you would like reserved for you.

eBooks and Audiobooks:

On our website and through our catalog, find ways to connect to hoopla, Libby, and the Palace Project. These are our three eBook and audiobook apps that allow you to access materials from the comfort of wherever you are, on whatever device you prefer to use. Listen or read on your phone, in the car, on your iPad, or on the go! Simply log in with your library card number and see what these apps have to offer.

Museum Passes:

Check out our binder of museum passes for discounted or free admission to some of our local, state, and regional attractions. It is recommended that you call ahead to find out that the pass you want to reserve is available.

Mobile Hotspots:

We circulate mobile hotspots! These are a wonderful and convenient way to ensure that you have wireless access no matter where you are or where you need to go. It is recommended that you call ahead to find out if there are hotspots available to borrow.

Themed Backpacks:

In our Youth Services Department, check out our themed backpacks, located in the Family Resource Center. We have a variety of types of backpacks available.

  • Sprout backpacks, which are educational kits with different themes.
  • Puppet backpacks, which come with one or two puppets and an associated title.
  • Sensory backpacks, loaded with sensory materials to touch and play with.
  • Musical instrument backpacks, which come with a drum and mallet, shaker eggs and jingle bells, rhythm sticks, and a book to sing and play along with.
  • Emotions backpacks, themed around a central big emotion that any child may feel at any given time. They include materials to promote discussion of these emotions and how best to handle them, such as books that tackle or touch on the theme, board games or sensory activities.
  • STEAM-to-Go kits, each with a theme as well. They come with a book and interactive games and materials.
  • NASA Space Explorers backpacks, featuring a tabletop telescope, constellation books, a moon map, and more!

Board Games:

Both the Adult Services Department and the Youth Services Department feature board game collections. Check them out across from the circulation desk (in Youth Services) or behind the circulation desk (in Adult Services). Board games circulate for three weeks but cannot be renewed, and only one board game is allowed per library card. Each board game box lists the materials and playing pieces. Please do your best to make sure every part is accounted for when the game is returned to help ensure that your whole community can enjoy the board games too.
